Heart and Hustle

BIG Dreams are the future possibilities, not guarantees, but they never have a chance unless we do our part. We have the potential, we have the want, but are we willing to work for it?

You can dream, think, hope and ask big, but don't fail to realize that it is all built on wise planning - hard work.

"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures." Proverbs 24:3-4

Don't expect your dream body in a day, a week or even 2 weeks...it takes time, small changes, time, consistency, and effort... DON'T QUIT like I did so many times before joining a Challenge Group.

It's now my time to pay it forward and help support others like my coach supported me!

Why Wait?





Ever feel that tug on your heart to do something, but you struggle with getting started with it?
Those first couple steps can seem so overwhelming and you don't know where to start.

So, you do nothing...then frustration and stress sets in because at the of the day, week, month or year you are still at the same spot.  You start feeling down because you are not doing anything that is helping you reach your goal or dream.

Don't waste your talents anymore by not doing anything and playing it safe.
Start being bold and courageous and stop robbing the world of your gifts and talents because of the fear you have about failing or not doing it right.

God has told us "Be fruitful and multiply" Genesis 1:28.
Take your gifts and talents and share them with others.

Watermelon and Cucumber Salad


Oh man, this totally hit the spot after a tough Dirty 30 workout in the hot garage at 2pm in the afternoon.  Yummy, cool and refreshing.

The boys were snacking on watermelon when I got done and just thought a watermelon salad sounded pretty good.  I found a few online and they had feta cheese in the recipe, but I decided to omit it and have something with just fruit and veggies.

I tend to have a healthy fat here and then a healthy fat there and before I know it I've had too much for the day, so leaving out the cheese was a good option for me and an add on on days where I have room on my nutritional plan.  Whether or not you count your macros or your containers you still should stay in your limits.  Healthy Fats are a blue container under the meal plan that I follow.




Watermelon and Cucumber Salad
Serving Size: 1

Ingredients:
1 cup watermelon, diced
1 cup cucumbers, diced
2 tbsp red onion, diced
2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
1 tsp olive oil
juice of fresh lime
Himalayan salt, to taste, sprinkled on top

Directions:
Chop all ingredients and mix up with olive oil and lime juice.
simple and easy!

Containers:
1 Purple / 1 Green / 1 tsp

Usually when people want to lose weight they cut back foods or food groups and end up starving themselves.  Clean Eating allows you to eat more and weigh less by making good food choices.

Help FIRE up YOUR metabolism by be eating 5-6 SMALLER meals a by that consists of Lean Proteins (LP) and Complex Card (CC). AVOID starchy, sugary, empty-calorie, industrialized high-fat foods.

Lean Protein (LP):
chicken, turkey, salmon, white fish (in safe healthy amounts) lean cuts of red meat, game, egg whites, beans, legumes, tofu, sea vegetables, nuts, and nut butters.
(If you are doing the 21 Day Fix or InsanityMax:30 Program this category is broken down even more)

Complex Carbs (CC):
whole grains, fresh fruit, vegetables. (oats, brown rice, quinoa, whole-grain breads)

To experience a fat-burning, metabolism-boosting energy peak you must eat a correct portion of a LP and a CC together every 2-3 hours.

Two is Better than One



Sleep Snoozing...
When you turned off your alarm or snoozed in your "sleep"!
So guilty of that today, First week of school almost complete, but our house is pretty tired...what about yours?

Now that I'm awake I realized just how many times I "Slept Snoozed", but at the time of my sweet sleep I had no idea. 

Thank goodness for a nudge of my hubby, the accountability of my challenger groups to help me get moving this Friday morning!

I do better when I keep my phone on the floor or further away from so I realize what I am doing when I snooze.

Time to get in my 30 mins to be a better version of me! I may be a little sleepy at first, but once I am done I never regret doing it!

Desires of Your Heart

We workout about 5am and workout, but what I don't always post about it the time I get up earlier and post my motivation and daily tips in my groups I also check in with my challengers to see how their day went.

Wake up early works for our family's schedule and I usually don't mind it because being a coach is a passion and a desire of my heart.

I WANT to others to succeed!
I WANT to see those transformation pictures we share in the group!
I  WANT to see the scale and non-scale victories!

but man-o-man...
I WANTED to stay asleep today!! haha

I did push snooze too much, I am running behind, but that is life, back to school and where I am at.

Down my glass or water, read a quick devotional, make my energize, post in my groups, and now it is LEG DAY!

I do make a few sacrifices to make this job work around our schedule to be there for football practices, meetings and school duties.  BUT don't we all for the things that we desire or inspires us?

I have a desire to help others and see them succeed with their health and their finances, so with a little help from Energize and my faith that IF I trust in HIM, HE will help me make it happen ! #CoachLIFE #FaithANDFitness

Be anxious for NOTHING, but in EVERYTHING by PRAYER...



I DON'T want you to be involved in my challenge group because I know all the answers or because I am "perfect" at nutrition and exercising...because that is NOT ME.

I WANT you to be involved to have a place to stay accountable to your PERSONAL Goals.

Having a place to check into, share recipes, tips that work and didn't work, sharing struggles and victories is what keeps me going even when I struggle.

I get messages all the time of people saying " I wish I had your motivation to wake up early" and honestly I don't always want to either.

I want to hit snooze.
I want to stay in the comfy bed.
I want to snug with my hubby and maltese pup a little longer.

But I have a group of ladies that EXPECT me to show up because we are committed to each other!

I know the words "Online Challenge/Accountability Group" sounds weird...but IT WORKS.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.. - Philippians 4:6-7
