It is not always easy to get out of bed early on a Saturday morning and do your workout when everyone is in the warm bed, BUT sometimes YOU just HAVE too! Otherwise, I would not get in my workout for the day!
Our weekends are usually full of our boys games, practices, parties and getting refreshed for the new work week. So, I try my best and do the workout before my boys wake up. If I don’t, then I will think of a million excuse why I can’t (or won’t) do it throughout the day.
Plus, it usually helps me stay on track with nutrition. After you busted your butt you don’t want it all to be for nothing…unless it is a planned cheat meal. (…ummm yes, I said meal not day!) How to have a cheat meal not day was an awesome thing I learn in my Challenge Group! Too many times I had a cheat DAY and would blow away all my hard work from the week! Then what do you do? You are upset and frustrated with yourself and you want to quit! Don’t do it…but IF you do…quick jump back on your healthy wagon and move on! Don’t let it get you down!
Think ahead for the week and PLAN that cheat meal! Get excited for it, work hard and dig a little deeper knowing that you are going to enjoy your cheat meal. This way you have EARNED it and there are none of those guilty feelings afterwards. You owned that cheat meal and you are glad you had it, but now its time to pull out those celery sticks and red peppers! 🙂
