As a Beachbody Coach I take my Rest Day Seriously!
My Rest Day is usually on a Sunday. I take this time to rest and recover from the busy week. And YES honestly, I do take a nap at some point in the day!
Rest Days are apart of the program and are Critical
Prevents Burn Out
Decreases the Risk of Injury
Makes for a Happier Coach and Athlete
So often when we are tired we try to boost our energy with things such as caffeine, sugar or carbs which ultimately leaves us more tired than we were before.
Sleep helps gives us the energy we need to exercise and keep our minds sharp to make those better food choices
When you’re tired, you lose your confidence. It’s that simple.
What’s the remedy?. The remedy for physical and emotional exhaustion — and the confidence drain it can be — is rest!
Psalm 127:2 says, “God wants His loved ones to get their proper rest” (TLB).
Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is go to rest or sleep. It’s amazing how much better things look after you’ve had a good night’s sleep.
