Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. (PSALM 34:8)
“Somewhere behind all of the numbers, a less measurable force is at work within me. It takes the form of emptiness or lack.” – Lysa TerKeurst from Made to Crave
Seriously though, how often are we guilty of filling our tummies because our hearts are empty? or because we are stressed? or upset? or had hurt feelings?
We let past and current disappointments define us. We cannot go back and change those. But we can move past them. Forgive. Seek forgiveness. Fix our eyes on Jesus. HE is the ONLY one who can satisfy us.
Let’s learn to crave Him more instead of food as our comforter.
No more dwelling on things that leave us feeling emotionally empty, we can learn to look for whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy in life (Philippians 4:8).
Dear Lord, help me claim these truths as my own, help me to look for what is right and pure. I am going to look at my situations and understand that they are circumstances of my life, but they don’t define me. Only YOU define me. And You love me, Lord. I proclaim this truth today. In Jesus’ name, Amen. – Made to Crave Prayer
Happy Day 5!! I bet everyone’s bodies are screaming! But it feels so good because it means we are changing! Remember that the weekend is upon us! It’s a time to relax but it’s also a time when most people throw in the towel and let their guard down with their diet! The weekends can quickly sabotage your weekly efforts so make sure you are tracking your food.
It’s time to have a game plan, especially with the weekend it’s easy to get drawn into the non-routine way of life. Check out the restaurant menus that you are going to or pre-eat before you go to a party. That way you are never caught in a moment where you have to eat garbage!

Recipe of the Day: Healthy Fries – Ugly Beans
Give these a chance….they TOTALLY helped me with my french fry craving when I first started my journey… To be honest they were a snack almost EVERYDAY! But it was a healthier option then french fries!
Day 5 Tip: Add COLOR to your food!
The more color you add to your plate the healthier it will be! Colorful foods are filled with more nutrients and flavor than bland monotonous, processed foods!
White & Green Foods = Offer immune-fighting properties
Red & Blue Foods = Promote healthy circulation
Yellow & Orange Foods = strengthen your heart and purify your blood
DON’T FORGET TO USE IT TO HELP WITH DESSERT TEMPTATIONS OVER THE WEEKEND!
Are you feeling any digestive discomfort since starting Shakeology?
Shakeology has fabulous digestive enzymes and fiber in it, but you may not be use to all these healthier things for your body.
Try using ½ scoop, twice daily—then slowly work up to 1 full scoop per serving. OR Are you having trouble “going”? Make sure you drink lots of water. Plus, consider adding avocado, raw nuts, olives, or flaxseeds to your diet to provide healthy fats and fiber. They’ll help keep things moving! And stick with it!
A survey from May 2013 shows that if you drink Shakeology every day, your digestion and regularity may improve.
