Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. HEBREWS 4:16“God is asking me to go to a new place — a place of grace!” – Lysa TerKeurst from Made to Crave
“I once wondered if God ever got tired of my issues – those recurring failings and sins I couldn’t ever seem to conquer. Throughout my lifelong struggle with emotional eating, I whined to God, got mad at God, and often ignored God. And I worried I was going to USE UP all my grace with God.” – Lysa Terkeurst
We were not created with a food struggle or physical craving because God is angry at us. He loves too much. He allows our struggle with food to be a physical indication of a spiritual situation. We need Him…He is asking us to draw near to him…go to a place of grace.
He WANTS us to live in PEACE!
So we are not only starting a new workout routine but we are incorporating Shakeology. And I know for me I royally screwed up the first few of them! Like 46 of THEM!
Here is the picture from MY FIRST challenge group excited that I FINALLY got it right.

My tips: Don’t use just 8 oz of liquid unless you like it thicker.

I have a Crock Pot (Slow Cooker) cookbook that I have created and with the recipes our family has tried and enjoyed this is the one that most people enjoy and want to try. Try it out!
Get the artichokes in water not oil!
The Slow Cooker Recipe book is in the group under FILES or you can find it HERE on my blog.
I know you want to, but DO NOT STEP ON THE SCALE YET! Try to only weigh yourself once a week or less. I judge how I am doing based on how my clothes fit (newly washed, not after a few wears) and how I feel. If you get on the scale and you don’t like what you see, you may be tempted to splurge or give up. When you do weigh yourself, make sure it is the same time of the day as when you first took your measurements. It does make a difference. The best time to do it is in the morning upon waking after voiding. They call that your “true” weight.
Don’t Focus on the scale!
I hope this post inspires you to keep going and know that you are not alone!
Accountability partners- so this is one of the added benefits of this group. Not only do you have your coach but you have another challenger in this group that you are in charge of keeping on track and keeping you on track!
An accountability partner is someone you keep in contact with on a weekly/daily basis. I have an accountability partners for my coaching life too. We check to make sure we are staying on track, and we lift each other up when we are having a bad day! It’s just that extra level of support to carry you through when you are feeling down on yourself!!
When you see someone post…comment on their photo and congratulate them… They will quickly do the same for you!
So, make sure you introduce yourself, send an email, exchange cell #’s and make a point to keep each other accountable. If you don’t see them post, check on them! I want to see all of you still going strong at the end of each month!
