Refuse to Quit.
Refuse to Give Up.
Horses wear blinders when racing because it helps them focus and avoid distractions.
Proverbs 4:25 – “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.”
Proverbs 4:26 – “Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways..”
Proverbs 4:27 – “Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”
1) Keep focused on your own lane.
God has called you to certain responsibilities. Do your best! Be thankful for the way God has made you and the path He has you on.
2) Don’t get sidetracked by others next to you.
Make sure you are daily wearing your blinders and reading the word of God. The devil has a way of alluring our attention off of the race set before us and getting us to look at other things. What we focus on EXPANDS, and eventually our feet follow our focus.
Keep looking unto Jesus – the finish line.
3) Run to win.
The reason we let go of the weights and sins that easily beset is so that we can run the full distance. It’s too hard to run with all the fleshly weights on us all the time. Drop the weights (Heb 12:1-3) through confession (1 John 1:9) and be renewed with extra strength.
There will be obstacles.
There will be doubters.
There will be mistakes
BUT with Hard Work,
There are NO LIMITS.
