Failing . Mistakes. Doing it Wrong. Can’t Finish. Slip Ups.
These all things that stop us from trying something new or going for a dream of ours.
I’ve been working on my GAIN FitCamp and asking myself “Why” this has been laid on my heart to make sure I am doing my personal best while coming up with the curriculum for this group.
Why am I intertwining Faith and Fitness together?
Dealing with health and wellness and the sacrifices and choices can be such a STRUGGLE.
I’d start to eat healthy, lose some weight, feel good for a couple of months, deceive myself into thinking I could return to old habits, and all the weight would creep back on. And I would feel horrible!
The question might be asked like this…
Q: The physical struggle is hard enough …Why would I want to bring “down” my spiritual life with this same struggles?
A: Whether we admit it or not the physical struggles DO already affect us spiritually. It effects our mood and our spirit when we feel guilty about missing a workout, making a bad food choice, overindulge or step on the scale and see a number that upsets us.
We need spiritual motivation to step in where our physical determination falls short.
Worried you might fail and let down God?
How can you let God down when you weren’t ever holding Him up?
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
