Hello everyone, I just want to say “Thank You!” to the overwhelming response received on my post from yesterday. I do not get much attention here in the local real world of rural Missouri, so I have taken my achievements for granted. Many of you have asked to share my story and clamored for before / after pictures. I will provide that information here and please feel free to share. It would make me so happy to inspire other women in their 60’s to get their act together.
I am 65 years 8 months old, 5’4″, 137 lbs. Ten years ago I weighed 260 lbs and it wasn’t a pretty sight. Over the course of 9 years I managed to drop 100 lbs through diet and exercise but could not move below 165 lbs. I discovered Beachbody through a niece, started the 21-Day Fix Plan on August 9, 2015, and loved what was happening with my body. I lost weight and inches rapidly.
Over the course of the year I moved to 21-Day Fix Extreme, P90X3, Master’s Hammer & Chisel, and finally Body Beast. The more I worked with weights the more I was hooked. I used cardio (Brazil Butt Lift, Rev Abs, running) to drop down to 130 lbs before beginning to bulk up with Body Beast. After one round I am now 137 lbs and very happy at this level. I plan to continue Body Beast and Master’s Hammer & Chisel because they contain the combination of weight lifting and cardio that my body needs to become stronger, leaner, and healthier.
I eat around 1500 calories a day but I am very active; not only do I work out with weights but I jog, do the yard work, and other physical activities that burn calories. I have tried all the Beach Body Performance line but my on-going favorites are Energize and Recover.
Naturally I take my daily dose of dense nutrition – Shakeology – without fail!
