Oh my goodness. This was so difficult for me for SO LONG! I was totally that girl who would diet and workout until I got to my goal and then I was DONE! Diet gone! Exercise turned sporadic!
I thought I had achieved victory! Boy, was I wrong.
Back to my old ways of eating because I “deserved it” and BOOM before I know it back to were I was again.
It was just a yo-yo effect. I would put plenty of things into my body that just led me back to the same place over and over again! But I learned that just like Lysa says, true victory is making the right choice over and over again no matter where I’m at!
We are always ONE choice away…
ONE choice away from reversing our progress and ONE choice away to become closer to those goals. YES, those Cheetos will matter if you are adding in an extra treat right now.
I’m not saying you don’t keep to have a treat here and there…I’m all about the 80/20 Rule and Balance! But sometimes we get off balance and sneak a few things here and a few thing there and we don’t even realize we are far off from the 80/20 Rule. (Read more about the 80/20 Rule HERE)
And JUST like the small GOOD changes add up for success SO DO the small BAD changes add up to sabotage!
Work for that treat, don’t snack on kids leftovers or be tempted on all the yummy things in the break-room. You are stronger than think!
Prayer for the day: Dear Lord, I am challenged to ponder what is pulling my heart away from You. Help me to live in a place of balance and to embrace what You have for me today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Recipe of the Day: Slow Cooker Pear and Balsamic Chicken
Did you know you can put frozen chicken in the crock pot?
Yep! It works perfectly and I do this a lot. I always keep frozen chicken in my freezer if there are days I did not make it to the grocery store on time or we just got back from a trip or getaway!!
(I also keep 70 calorie – low sodium – tuna packets on hand for that reason too.)
