In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (ROMANS 8:26)
“When we sit silent before God, the Spirit will intercede with perfect prayers on our behalf.” Lysa TerKeurst from Made to Crave
Do you struggle with this!! I DO!
A busy on the go, fast pace life with 2 boys, sports, loving my business and helping others succeed…I honestly “forget” to JUST SIT AND SILENCE it’s HARD for me!
The church I went to when I was younger had an amazing older gentleman that I just loved to sit and listen to! He has more energy and zeal for like than people half his age. I never heard anyone talk about his pray life like his. He talked about spending time with God each morning and thanking and praising him. He said he wrote down his prayers and put them in his back pocket. He said God knows my prayers, their in my back pocket, I just need to spend time with him.
I always admired his style….He did not go to God asking, begging, or demanding changes to happen. He was spending time with Him feeling confident that God knew his prayers already and it allowed him to just enjoy his quiet time.
God knows we are struggle with our food cravings, so instead of begging Him to make it easier or for Him to speed up the process, spend your quiet time in silence, sit still and listen to what He might say to us.
It’s Sunday and it’s time to plan out your meals for the week.
You may not always feel like getting up and making a plan but it will save you from countless bad decisions as the week goes on. It will help you feel in control and give you a reason to stock the fridge with health choices.
Remember your weight loss and health goals this week.
Remember that having a plan is part of being successful.
It’s just like setting goals for yourself in your professional life, you have to write them down, set a deadline and work towards them every day to reach them! So please take the time to do that in your health and fitness too!

This recipe came from the program Hammer and Chisel. Dylan and I did this program together and it was fun to have a couples program that BOTH us truly enjoyed!
