I have lost count of the number of times I have given up on a goal because it just seemed to be taking too long or it seems SO FAR AWAY.
It seems more “do-able” to lose 2 lbs this week vs.. 40 over 6 months. It is just about the same amount a weight loss.
IN FACT, focusing on the 2 lb weight loss each week for 6 months helps you lose 48lbs instead of 40 over 6 months. SO, focusing on the small mini goal is BETTER than the overall goal.**
I wasn’t willing to pay attention to the small changes I was making. I wanted BIG ones and I wanted them NOW!
Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the end goal.
One good choice leads to another, and another. It may take a little time to see the results but they are happening!!! Remember how we talked about setting small, achievable goals in the beginning?
Make mini goals for each day, each week!
– I will stick to my meal plan today!
– I will ONLY have one treat this week – not 1 a day—just one a week.
Small Changes + Time + Consistency = HUGE REWARDS

Also, here is my tip for you. I am going to encourage you to all look up your restaurant choices when you go out to eat this weekend.
Most restaurants have their menus online and note healthier choices. My boys love Chili’s so we go there quite often to celebrate their success at school or birthdays.
Go to the restaurants website and look for their menu. Most of the restaurants have the nutritional facts listed and even have a healthier options side of the menu! check out Chili’s Nutrition Facts HERE.

“Diet foods” make you gain weight.
Diet products often are filled with chemicals, additives and sugar, leaving you void of nutrition.
The word ”diet” gives you false hope and “permission” to give into the cravings because you would say, “Well, I ate diet chips and diet cookies!”
Diet foods don’t make you accountable!
