Christina T. lost 33 lbs. with a variety of Beachbody fitness programs, Shakeology, and the Beachbody Performance supplements. Here’s the story that she shared with the Beachbody Challenge contest. Her consistency has paid off! Doesn’t she look AH-MAZING!
Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
Over the last year, I have done several Beachbody programs, including 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix EXTREME, and The Master’s Hammer and Chisel. I really wanted to work on my cardio endurance and figured Shaun T and FOCUS T25 would be a great way to do that! I live at 7,000 feet elevation, so oxygen is more scarce. Any improvement in my cardio endurance is helpful. I’ve come so far since I started 21 Day Fix last June 2015. I was six weeks postpartum with baby number five, and despaired of finding myself again.4 Not just my pre-baby body, but my pre-baby self, who was excited to learn and do new things. I had given up a bit, dooming myself to a boring, non-active life of watching TV, folding laundry, and drinking wine.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
While folding laundry one day, I saw an infomercial for 21 Day Fix and loved the idea of the 30-minute workouts. The program looked like it would be perfect to help me break my bad habits and make new ones. After a few rounds of 21 Day Fix, I felt I needed to challenge myself more and started 21 Day Fix EXTREME. I was excited to do The Master’s Hammer and Chisel when it came out, and in between programs, I loved trying different workouts on Beachbody On Demand to keep things fresh. After working out with Autumn for a year, I decided to switch things up and commit to a longer program with a totally different format, so I started FOCUS T25. I’m so glad it came out on BOD!
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody help you overcome that challenge?
Making time for myself to exercise and eat healthy meals was a challenge. I made it too complex in my mind! Beachbody made it so simple. I’m getting better about meal planning and prepping so I have a plan for the week: easy go-to lunches and healthy dinners for my family. I love the recipes on TeamBeachbody.com! I use them all the time. And 25-minute workouts? Even I can get up early to get those in. I feel so much better taking that time to get healthy for myself and my family.
What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
Even though FOCUS T25 was 14 weeks long, it included three phases so the workouts stayed fresh and definitely challenging! I really noticed how much better I was able to get through the workouts from the beginning of the phase to the end. And the emphasis on core work was awesome for this mom of five kiddos!
