Have you ever thought ….
“Why can’t God just fix my weight issues?”
I’ve wrestled with this before. WHY do I have to fight for every inch, every pound, every jean size?
I have never been the girl that can eat whatever she wants and doesn’t gain weight.
But just so your know SKINNY DOESN’T MEAN HAPPY.
If have a treat meal and my weight goes up…sure it’s the sodium or sugar rush and will level off in a day or two. But if I let that treat meal turn into a treat weekend to a treat week. UGH …that is where I got frustrated and just wanted to quit!
But I had to realize …
If God made it a quick fix…I would not get fix the ROOT of the problem.
I still would not be satisfied.
God wants us to CRAVE Him more than food, attention, affirmation, material things and anything else that we go to FIRST before Him.
Without my struggles of Sweets, Pizza, Hypothyroidism, Emotional Eating, Fad Diets, Putting too Much Worth On A Number On A Scale…I would never found so much joy in sharing my journey to help others as a Coach.
I struggle so that I may help others that do the same!
I don’t have it down perfect and that is why I love being apart of my groups and being a Coach for the extra ACCOUNTABILITY and SUPPORT.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Made to Crave Prayer by Lysa TerKeurst
“Dear Lord, I never thought I’d say this about my weight struggles, but thank You. Thank You for giving me an external indication that forces me to look at my internal situation. I want to want You more than anything else. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
SO I talked about doing what we are suppose to do even though we may not see the results we want.
It will happen from time to time …that scale will JUST NOT MOVE!!
BUT TODAY I want to FOCUS on 5 THINGS!
I want you to SHARE 5 things in the GROUP that you learned about yourself over your time in the challenge good and bad!
Maybe this has been the first time you have ever stuck to a lifestyle change or workout routine, or maybe you realized that you can workout in the am or that you are stronger than you thought you were.
This is a time to reflect on the positive changes you have made in your life.
You may not have hit the number on the scale that you were hoping for but you gave it your all and you are making big changes!
I want you to shout it from the roof tops today that you are not waiting around for the perfect place and time.
You are taking charge of your life today and doing what needs to be done to make yourself a healthier, happier and stronger individual.
Please POST your 5 things you learned about yourself.
