Oh how I love this! In my previous life (pre Beachbody) I thought the weekends were something I deserved. I thought that if I worked hard all week long then I deserved to kick back, relax and enjoy anything I wanted on the weekends.
What I quickly realized is that my mindset was way off. I was undoing everything I worked hard on the weekdays to accomplish. Every Monday I would wake up the same as the previous Monday and it became easier and easier to justify that my health and fitness plan was not working which makes it easier to quit!
In reality, I was doing it to myself! I was undoing all the good on the weekends.
Now, since changing this mindset I have been able to bust thru that plateau and make consistent steady progress. I allow myself to take an extra nap, or go to bed early but skipping my workout and not following my nutrition plan are not a reward! It’s not an option!
