A Sunday Well Spent Brings A Week of Content …I just kept saying this to myself all day today. We were out of town for a family reunion and all I wanted to do was relax and not do much of anything all day long. BUT I knew if I meal planned, grocery shopped and meal prepped it would be worth it for my family and I through out the week. When I take the time to do it we all eat better. The fruits and veggies are washed which means we go for the healthy convenient snack instead of the unhealthy convenient snack. Bottom line…when the food is prepped we eat it and it doesn’t rot in those plastic grocery store bags.
I feel that God has been speaking to me about being more prepared and that means each morning and each week. Being prepared allows me to start my day off right and I end up being a better mom and wife if I’m not rushing around. That is same for meal prepping this weekend…I didn’t want to do it…but I felt that tug to be prepared so I would be more confident about my journey and week.
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
Preparation equips us to move confidently. Sometimes we lack confidence because we are not prepared. Think about your school report or business presentation. If we spent the time preparing and studying our presentation we walk in knowing we did our best which boasts our confidence. Take time to prepare; you’ll be amazed at the confidence that will follow for you to rock your day and week.
Here is my meal plan for the week
Dylan and I are doing the 21 Day Fix Program and we loved how we felt on the 21 Day Ultimate Reset (Read More Here) so we decided to follow the Reset in a Crunch Meal Planning options which is basically fruit in the morning, veggies for lunch and dinner, with a healthy fat like hummus or an avocado once a day as well as either a sweet potato or quinoa…super simple!! This is basically the Vegan 21 Day Fix Eating Plan. I need simple this week! and I always encourage my new challengers to keep it simple in the beginning too. Sometimes fancy recipes just stress us out and we make it harder than it has too!
We started with the Basic 21 Day Fix Meal Planning and love the balanced nutrition, but sometimes we like to do the Reset plan also created by Beachbody.
