It’s HERE…WEEK 3
Now it’s time to get serious and it all comes together. You’re eating starch- and legume-free so that all your carbs come from veggies and fruit. Comfort foods are gone. The nutrition changes up this week from the normal meal plans that I am use to. We already upped the veggies by one container last week and went down a starchy carb, but this week we up the veggies again, and up the protein and tsp and have no starchy carbs. Tsp are nut butters and oils….so I am totally okay with that love me some nut butters. The protein makes me a little nervous…I get tired of meat and actually have loved being on a vegan style meal plan. But I’m gonna give it a go!!! I do have HEB No Preservative Cajun Turkey meat as my go-to with my afternoon veggies for my afternoon protein…but I put down I might have another shake instead…we will see how I do and how I feel in the afternoon. You actually get unlimited veggies in this meal plan so if there is ever a moment where you are starving you know you can rely on the veggies to save the day. I was still getting carbs from my Shakeology, fruits and veggies.
The Meal Plan
Here is my breakdown for Week 3 for my personal goals and body weight/style
5 Veggies / 5 Proteins / 2 Fruits / 0 Starchy Carbs / 1 Healthy Fat / 1 Dressing/Seeds/Nuts / 3 tsp
Week 3 workouts were more challenging than the previous two weeks and the workouts were 10 minutes longer. So the workouts totaled 45 minutes each day with 2 days where you add an extra 10 minutes of abs. Seven days of higher-intensity workouts, while eating clean. This is your grand finale. The workouts are tough…I’m not gonna lie. But they are do-able and they have a modifier. There is no shame in modifying. I have to do it because I will “pay” for it the next day with my back issues. So it is best for me to stay conservative on some of the double jumps Even though I have always like HIIT type training. Chris Downing, my trainer, is so inspirational and motivating it makes the workouts go by pretty fast. This week we will actually be bumping it up to 45 mins like above and two days a week be adding on the ab workouts. The struggle will be getting up and started a little earlier because we have been spoiled with 30 min workouts for so long!!haha
We drink Shakeology everyday to help to provided us with our daily vitamins and help support 11 of our body’s systems to allow the to do what they are suppose to do to keep us healthy. I also have been using Energize! It is a preworkout drink that allows you to push a little harder to help you achieve your goals!! I could do the workouts without it…but I’m glad to have the extra boost.
Blast through your toughest challenges with a surge of energy. Before you get active, take Energize to help sharpen focus, push harder, and last longer. Because let’s face it, every extra ounce of energy counts when you’re looking for a winning edge.
